SLCP Certification – Social & Labor Convergence ProgramUse of SLCP logo — Social & Labor Convergence Program

What is SLCP?

The Social & Labor Convergence Program (SLCP) is a global initiative designed to create a standardized framework for assessing social and labor conditions in manufacturing facilities.

Unlike traditional audits, SLCP does not issue a compliance certificate. Instead, it provides a Verified Assessment of a facility’s labor and social practices, which can be shared across multiple brands and stakeholders — reducing audit fatigue and duplication.

Why SLCP is Important

In today’s supply chains, factories often face multiple social audits from different buyers, creating unnecessary costs and inefficiencies. SLCP solves this problem by offering one universal assessment that is recognized by global brands and retailers.

Key Benefits:

  • Reduce audit duplication and costs

  • Improve transparency across the supply chain

  • Gain recognition from multiple international buyers

  • Focus more on improvement rather than repetitive audits

  • Enhance credibility in global sourcing markets

Who Should Use SLCP?

SLCP is designed for:

  • Apparel and textile manufacturers

  • Footwear factories

  • Home textiles and accessories producers

  • Suppliers working with multiple global brands

  • Businesses seeking efficiency in social compliance reporting

What Does SLCP Cover?

The SLCP Converged Assessment Framework (CAF) evaluates key areas of social and labor conditions, including:

  • Working hours and wages

  • Health and safety practices

  • Worker rights and freedom of association

  • Anti-discrimination and fair treatment

  • Management systems for labor practices

  • Facility-level policies and records

SLCP Assessment Process

  1. Registration – Facility registers on the SLCP Gateway

  2. Self-Assessment – Facility completes the Converged Assessment Framework (CAF) questionnaire

  3. Verification – An accredited verifier reviews and validates the data

  4. Data Sharing – Verified assessment is shared with multiple brands and stakeholders via platforms like the Fair Factories Clearinghouse (FFC) or Higg Index

Why SLCP Matters

  • Recognized by leading global brands in apparel and footwear

  • Reduces audit fatigue by replacing multiple audits with one verified assessment

  • Promotes collaboration and transparency in the supply chain

  • Helps facilities focus on long-term improvements rather than repeated inspections

In summary:
SLCP is not a certification but a verified assessment system. It provides factories and brands with a common language for social and labor data, saving time, money, and effort while strengthening trust and transparency in global supply chains.
